UT’s Stokely Family Residence Hall will feature 586 bedrooms and shared living spaces that will provide housing for 684 students. The housing will be open to both male and female students.
Each residence hall floor will feature a living room common area and laundry areas. Students also will have access to video messaging boards, a covered outdoor eating area, and a recreation room. All rooms will feature a full bathroom, a living room, closet space, full-sized refrigerators, and flexible furniture components, including desks, desk chairs and receptacles.
The building will house a “Fresh Concept” dining operation that will feature the Fresh Food Company, a POD Grocery, and a coffee house. All dining hall amenities will be available to students, faculty and staff.
The residence hall’s sustainable building design includes large windows for ample daylight and a courtyard that will provide a welcoming entrance to the building.
A six-story, 1,000-space parking garage also is being constructed at the residence hall site and will serve students as well as some faculty and staff.
