The Engineering Innovation Hub is an academic and research incubator lab at State University of New York, New Paltz. It is intended to bring together educators, researchers, students, and industry partners in an effort to spawn start-up businesses.

The program includes teaching labs, research labs, a machine shop, an additive manufacturing center and administrative spaces.

The interior of the labs evokes industrial aesthetics with exposed steel structure, visible engineering systems and polished concrete floors.
The design intersperses informal collaborative spaces around programmed labs in order to foster interaction and exchange of ideas.

The exterior of the building is clad in concrete rain screen panels. A distinctive feature of the design is the cubic mass that hovers over the entrance into the building. The cube is skewed at a slight angle to take advantage of the views to the campus green. On the whole, this small and economical building helps create an open and welcoming environment for engineering education, research and entrepreneurship.
