The Nursing Education, Research, and Practice Center will become a new home for the Department of Health Sciences, Human Services, and Nursing at Lehman College, a public college in the Bronx within the CUNY network. The nursing facility will have classrooms, laboratories, and support spaces.

The centerpiece of the project will be a nursing simulation lab, recreating a clinical environment where students can practice real-world situations involving pediatrics, labor and delivery, intensive care, and trauma procedures on high-tech simulated patients while remotely monitored by faculty.

In addition, the building is designed to promote collaboration; casual gathering areas will support learning beyond the classroom. With construction recently awarded and completion expected by the fall 2023, this project will be one of CUNY’s largest capital undertakings in recent years.
