Miami Dade College Wolfson Campus, Miami Fashion Institute
Miami, Florida
The Miami Fashion Institute (MFI) is a state-of-the-art facility designed to emulate prominent fashion schools in New York and throughout the United States.
When students arriving at MFI, silhouettes reminiscent of fashion shows and runways usher them into the reception area.
At the reception area they are met with a sculptural information desk paired with a lounge-type gathering area fit for impromptu shows and displays of student work.
Around the corner and behind a metal divider, students will find the sewing lab and fabric cutting area furnished with ironing boards and mannequins decked out in student creations.
MFI also boasts labs for both hand-developed and computer-generated drawings. The computer labs are equipped with the latest software and include fabric sublimation printers.
The Miami Fashion Institute enables students to turn their passion for design into a successful profession in the world of fashion.
