The New Magnolia School is a specialized learning environment serving 122 students from age 12 to 22 who have significant cognitive, physical or behavioral disabilities in a facility that consolidates several different special needs schools across the county.

Co-located on a campus with a separate, behavioral-only Silver Pines Academy, the one-story Magnolia School offers most of the typical educational spaces including full-time exceptional student education (ESE) classrooms, media center, dining/multipurpose room, science lab, math lab and music lab. Specific to student needs, specialty spaces include a therapy room, sensory room, residential apartment life skills lab and a large physical education room. The school also offers unique vocational programs to teach the students valuable job skills with a culinary arts lab, hospitality lab, commercial laundry lab, recycling lab and an agricultural lab complete with a greenhouse and outdoor garden. Special attention was paid to the interior color choices in order to create a subdued palette while avoiding stimulating patterns for the students.
