Texas educator joins PBK as director of PreK-12 Engagement and Partnerships

Sheleah D. Reed has joined the PBK architectural firm as the director of PreK-12 Engagement and Partnerships.

Reed comes to PBK after serving as chief of staff and chief of communications for the Aldine (Texas) Independent School District, where she helped the school system win approval of a record $1.8 billion bond proposal in 2023.

Prior to her time in the Aldine district, Reed worked on bond programs in the Houston and Spring (Texas) districts.

In her work on on long-range planning, bond planning, and bond communications, Reed identifies key actions, audiences, and coalitions to strengthen community ties. With PBK, Reed has been tasked with strengthening ties between the architecture firm and the neighborhoods in the Houston area and beyond.

She has a master’s degree in advertising and public relations, and has more than 20 years experience in public affairs and strategic communications.
