SmithGroup has hired Susanne “Charli” Buchberger to serve as director of business development at its Chicago office.
Buchberger will draw upon nearly 25 years of experience to expand the office’s portfolio of work across the higher education, health, science & technology, urban design, workplace and waterfront markets.
Buchberger comes to SmithGroup from Booth Hansen, where she served as director of business development. She also has worked at Arthur Andersen, Marsh and Deloitte.
Buchberger received bachelor’s degrees in the fields of civil engineering and education.from University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received a master’s degree in environmental engineering from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
