Perkins Eastman has announced that Joseph G. Costa AIA, LEED AP, has joined the firm’s New York office as a principal. Costa joins with more than 28 years of design and project management experience in K-12 schools, corporate, industrial and justice architecture. His school projects have received numerous awards for design excellence from the AIA, as well as recognition from various education service providers, boards, and commissions as exceptional, sustainable teaching facilities.
Costa joins Perkins Eastman from Fletcher-Thompson where he most recently served as principal and led the firm’s regional K-12 education practice group. He has extensive public and private facility programming, master planning, architecture and engineering project experience in a wide variety of school sizes and types.
Costa holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Syracuse University, is a registered architect, and is certified LEED AP. He holds a certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), is a member of the AIA, and is a Massachusetts Certified Purchasing Official (MCPPO).
