Fletcher Thompson has announced the addition of George Delegas, AIA, as principal of its Boston office. He brings more than 30 years of architectural and planning experience to the firm, managing the entire design and construction process for clients in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, Florida and overseas.
Delegas will lead the firm’s education practice group, where his Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) experience, which includes assisting in needs assessments for more than 1,800 public schools, will support the firm’s K-12 market sector. He has also planned and designed projects for colleges and universities, housing, state and national governments in Massachusetts, the Northeast and internationally.
Also, Daniel L. Casinelli, AIA, LEED AP, will assume the leadership position as principal of Fletcher Thompson’s K-12 market sector. He has served as project architect, project manager and principal during his 16 years at Fletcher Thompson, and has more than 25 years of experience in the field of architecture. His expertise encompasses master planning, design, construction document development, interior design, contract administration, project coordination and the direction of support staff in the accomplishment of project assignments.
Mr. Casinelli has provided design leadership for a wide range of the firm’s top assignments, and he has assisted in delivering successful projects for schools that include Frenchtown Elementary School in Trumbull Conn., a renovation and expansion to Wilton High School in Wilton, Conn., and Middlebrook Middle School in Wilton.
