Perkins+Will Welcomes Vandana Nayak as Regional Education Practice Leader

DALLAS – Oct. 24, 2017 – The Dallas office of Perkins+Will, a global architecture and design firm, has hired Vandana Nayak to lead the K-12 and Higher Education practice in Texas and the Southwest U.S.  Nayak, who brings more than twenty years of experience delivering next-generation educational environments, will lead regional strategy and client engagement in education across Texas, and will oversee the Dallas office’s education studio.

“Vandana’s ability to understand exactly what a client wants and then convert that vision into an executable plan will be an invaluable asset to our office,” said Managing Director Tom Reisenbichler. “Her business acumen, coupled with her design insights, will make her a knowledgeable resource for clients and a strong leader at Perkins+Will.”

A graduate of Bangalore University in Karnataka, India, Nayak specializes in working with diverse constituent groups to reach solutions that address the most critical issues faced by modern schools, colleges and university facilities.  Her insights are frequently sought by the region’s premier industry organizations, including recent presentations to the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA), the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO), the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) and the Texas Society of Architects.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to join Perkins+Will and dive into projects that are pushing boundaries and bringing fresh ideas to education in Texas,” said Nayak. “The Dallas office is raising the bar by providing creative solutions, innovative thinking and effective strategic planning for our clients, and I’m eager to contribute to and further our growth across the state.”

Nayak’s body of work includes a number of educational institutions across north Texas, including Frisco ISD, Grand Prairie ISD, McKinney ISD, Lewisville ISD, Denton ISD, Texas Woman’s University, Dallas County Community College District, University of North Texas, University of Texas at Dallas, and Texas A&M University.
