The MTC Technologies Trading Center provides a teaching-focused, Wall Street-interactive, financial trading room for the Raj Soin College of Business at Wright State University. The dynamic design redefines the college’s image and physical space through the use of full-color, iconic graphic panels and full-height glass walls that provide transparency and natural light deep into the building.
The College of Business uses the trading center as a primary teaching space, and as a means of expanding its visibility and influence in the business community. This outward reach is expressed in the openness of the space and the expansion of the ticker tape beyond the confines of the room.
Reds and oranges from the ticker tape and data walls form the basis of the color scheme, which is elaborated upon in the graphic panels and the furniture upholstery throughout.
With the projection screens, data walls and ticker tape creating a substantial amount of visual interest, the paint and carpet colors are subdued, and the accent colors are consistent with those from the various displays.
