As one of the country’s oldest boarding schools, Wilbraham & Monson Academy has been educating global citizens and world leaders since 1804. The 425-student school combines a small, local, nurturing, and traditional learning environment with a forward-thinking, global-oriented, college preparatory curriculum. The new Athenaeum, the first major project envisioned by Flansburgh’s Campus Master Plan, serves as an intentional community space where students gather and study. The building is connected to the a historic Chapel which will become the new dining commons. Strategically located between the Chapel and Smith Hall, the contemporary design of the new Athenaeum reflects Wilbraham and Monson’s distinctive combination of tradition and innovation. The project helps unify the campus, celebrates the school’s strong sense of community and fosters student collaboration.
