The new Updike Center for Science, Mathematics, & Engineering at Vincennes University is a state-of-the-art facility with cutting-edge labs for engineering, chemistry, physics, biology, and agricultural and earth sciences. Its prominent location on campus serves as a hub of student activity. The facility’s adaptability supports a variety of science and engineering programs.
The building incorporates several energy-efficient aspects, such as daylighting and highly efficient equipment and systems.
The learning environments include several dynamic and interactive tutoring/group study areas as well as breakout spaces for individual instruction and collaborative learning. The center not only supplies the students with appealing visuals but also provides students first-class opportunities to advance their education.
Working with the project architect, Gibraltar Design, Rowland Design’s team created interior spaces that stimulate learning through innovative design.
