Victor Valley College, Advanced Technology Building
Victorville, California
Victor Valley College’s new technology building was developed to support the college’s mission of inspiring innovative teaching and service. Imaginative uses of collaboration and technology foster vibrant programs that effectively address student learning and community needs.
The technology building is centralized to reduce the cost of having individual computer facilities for each program. It now is the hub of computer-related training activities on the Victor Valley campus. The new technology building gives students the opportunity to access the Web, process documents, design buildings, create animated movies and learn basic computer skills.
This high-tech center houses 20 multipurpose computer laboratories and is equipped with state-of-the- art, smart-classroom technology, allowing for instruction in a variety of disciplines. The computer mall, which spans the length of the building, allows for individual group instruction and is equipped with laptop docking stations with wireless service for students who have their own computers.
