Troy School District Services Building
Troy, Michigan
The services building was developed to be the hub of all voice, video and data transmissions in the district. It delivers technology services to the district’s 500 classrooms. The facility has office space for the variety of services delivered to the educational community, including the Troy Community Coalition.
The building is in a park-like setting surrounded by undisturbed wetlands that provide a home to native wildlife.
The services building features several meeting and training rooms rich in technology. The district boardroom can be divided to provide three additional training rooms.
The boardroom also has rear-screen video projection and flat-screen video monitors that can access computers, VCRs and DVD players, as well as three cameras and a projector. The technology allows television broadcasts throughout the district, curriculum training and interactivity among 12,000 students in 22 district facilities.
The telephone system is designed so that the entire district acts as one single building.
