The Westminster Schools campus has had no new buildings constructed since 2000, so trustees commissioned a master plan in 2015 to renew the campus, expand facilities, and reposition the school to respond to new educational trends.

The master plan proposed a 10-year, $200 million strategy to revamp the campus: improvements to vehicular circulation and a parking deck for 500 cars; a new football stadium grandstand, broadcast facility, coaches’ boxes, and locker rooms; a community plaza and concession stand; a new central utility plant and a campus-wide chilled water loop; renovation and expansion of Campbell Hall; a “commons” building at the head of the campus’ great quad; renovation and expansion of the Lower School facility; creation of a new Upper School STEAM facility; a re-working of the campus quad landscape to level the topography and allow for more active communal outdoor spaces; renovation of Askew Hall—a general classroom building for the Upper School; and creation of a 1,400-seat performing arts center.

The master plan sets up the Westminster Schools to reinvent its campus, with spaces more attuned to community, to become an institution better situated to engage the world, with a more open and transparent learning culture.
