This science building was designed to spark imaginations, make discovery fun and intriguing, encourage chance interactions among students and faculty of different disciplines, and reveal the beauty of science that lets us sense our role in some divine plan.
The structure is L-shaped to create a science enclave in concert with a pre-existing science building. The bridge that connects the two buildings completes the enclosure and creates a grand gateway into the science enclave from a major campus path.
The building’s exterior and interiors are ornamented with many objects, bas-reliefs, built-in sculptures, building elements, and artwork of scientific derivation. The result is a building that is not only a playful tool for teachers but also a teacher itself of imagination and wonder.
