Rutgers University, Center for Law and Justice
Newark, New Jersey
The Rutgers University Center for Law and Justice houses four distinctive university tenants: the School of Law; the School of Criminal Justice; the offices of the university provost; and the Center for Global Change and Governance. Each tenant is organized around a four-story circular atrium with an internal radial stair.
The lower level contains six state-of-the-art classrooms of a variety of sizes and configurations. Each seat is wired for power and data. Each classroom is equipped with a central audiovisual mainframe control system, allowing the instructor to download prepared material onto a screen and to control a variety of supplemental audiovisual devices.
On the first floor, the wood-paneled moot courtroom has been arranged to operate both as a courtroom and classroom.
