Ridley High School
Folsom, Pennsylvania
The Foreman Group, consisting of Foreman Architects Engineers (FAE) and Foreman Program and Construction Managers (FPCM), began their relationship with the Ridley School District in 1994.
FCPM was commissioned to conduct a districtwide feasibility study. After a lengthy evaluation, construction for a new high school was approved.
The school board and school district’s concern with appropriate aesthetics and architectural language directed the architect toward a classical design vocabulary. Site constraints resulted in a compact building design with courtyards separating public use areas from academic wings.
Bids for 31 prime contracts were received in April 1999. FPCM will schedule and coordinate all individual contracts to further reduce costs and minimize change orders. Construction began in July1999, and the building will be ready for occupancy for the 2001 academic year.
