Nova Southeastern University, Horvitz Administration Complex – Student Welcome Center

ACAI was charged with delivering the new student Welcome Center for Nova Southeastern University, and the challenge was designing a project that employed a complex phasing scheme as part of the complete makeover of NSU’s Horvitz Administration Complex. The project had to keep day-to-day operations intact and design around existing color schemes to stay within budget.
To meet the aggressive four-month schedule, ACAI proposed procuring contractor selection via the construction management at-risk delivery method. This process provided extra time with immediate design assistance and involvement by the subs and an early start of construction so the overall project schedule could be maintained.
