Gallo Herbert Architects partnered with Vision Builders of Atlanta to repurpose the design of the existing food court at the Don Taft University Center of Nova Southeastern University. The project was proposed in response to students’ requests for a more responsive, healthful and varied food service program.

The university polled existing and incoming students and determined that an upgrade was necessary. Their operating food service partner, Chartwells, was asked to participate and suggest new menu items as well as new concepts. The new concepts were constructed during summer 2018 and were ready for students in the fall. Along with a menu refresh, the entire spatial experience has been upgraded to an energetic environment with controlled access and an all-you-can-eat program.
