The redesigned and expanded Talley Student Union shapes academic and student life experiences for the entire NC State community. Talley is a campus “game changer”—the landmark center has revitalized students’ attitudes and provided a place they may claim as their own. Talley’s amenities and programs form the foundation for student life and provide opportunities that shape success. The dynamic architecture and open, flexible interiors foster an interactive, interdisciplinary environment for students, faculty, alumni and visitors to connect and engage on campus. This vital university hub ignites enthusiasm and instills campus spirit, NC State culture and a sense of community.
The primary goal for the project was to create a foundation and center for NC State student life by providing collaborative spaces, sought-after amenities, extracurricular opportunities, and academic and employment resources. The new facility serves in stark contrast to the closed-off and underutilized 1972 student center it replaced.
