This 147,000-square-foot, technology-centered, school houses a middle school (grades 6-8) and a high school (grades 9-12) under one roof in two separate, three-story academic wings, with expansion capacity.
Shared core facilities include a cafeteria; a media center/library; a 550-seat divisible auditorium; and a gymnasium with seating for 825. These are zoned for after-hours community use, including concert, theater, and recreational programs.
Development of the 50-acre site required separate circulation routes, entryways, and parking lots for students, faculty and visitors to enhance security, efficiency and community access.
Fifty five-sided classrooms are equipped with teacher workstations. Flexible furnishings and computer banks allow students to work independently or collaboratively using teachers as guidelines and facilitators.
The media center/library offers a variety of formal and informal seating arrangements, 20 computer workstations with voice/video/data systems, and laptop computer drops.
