The district partnered with the architect as its independent owner’s representative for educational planning and cost-management consultation in a process spanning a decade and a half. The result was an extensive upgrade of pre-K to 12 facilities through a phased, long-range facilities and tax-management planning process. This project completes that plan.

The project’s cost-effective blending of 9-12 additions and renovations emphasizes a variety of learning environments conducive to educational delivery in class, large and small group, and individual settings. Flexible technology access reaches all areas and incorporates a variety of media opportunities. Exploratory lab and project learning centers provide flexible teaching opportunities, as attractive learning environments.

A variety of areas provide for student services and social areas while welcoming the community to the large events areas, classroom, meeting, various activities and technologies areas included in the addition. The security-oriented plan allows for controlled access to separate areas.

Independent cost management delivered superior quality materials and energy efficiency while saving taxpayers nearly 20 percent compared with regional averages of traditional architect and construction management-driven approaches.
