Mills Group provided full services for the expansion and renovation of Myles Center for the Arts. The project called for a glass-enclosed addition to accommodate a 350-seat event space. Additional elements included a two-story stone and brick rotunda, elevator and balcony, new restrooms, and a warming kitchen. The exterior of the plaza also was completely renovated and was designed to work in tandem with the interior layout.

Following curvilinear lines inspired by musical influences, the space features grass-flanked walking paths and a tiered seating area that can be used as an outdoor classroom. A 10-foot-tall bronze sculpture of two dancers accentuates the plaza.
