Miami University, Tennis and Withrow Courts
Oxford, Ohio
Design team
CR architecture + design, Mackey Mitchell
The construction of Withrow and Tennis Court residence halls on Miami University’s Oxford, Ohio, campus will provide more than 700 beds for students. With more than 150,000 square feet of residential space added, these halls will help the university house its growing student body and offer the most modern amenities.
The Tennis Court residence halls flank a common green space. Each features community rooms such as kitchens, recreation areas and study spaces on every floor. The Withrow Court Hall is situated across a campus street and is surrounded by its own green area.
Architecturally, the new halls match the characteristics of the rest of the Georgian Revival campus and will blend in seamlessly. Withrow Hall is using the reclaimed stone and detailing from the building that once stood in its place. This conserves materials and gives homage to the history of Miami University’s Oxford campus. Tennis Court is being constructed on the site of an old tennis court.
