Lee H. Means Elementary School
Harlingen, Texas
This new elementary school for grades pre-K to 5 has classroom wings arranged in a radial array to enable easy access to common facilities such as the library, and science and art classrooms. The building incorporates sustainable design principles such as energy-efficient systems and daylighting. A state-of-the-art technology infrastructure has been incorporated in the entire campus.
The project also includes a 4,500-square-foot multipurpose room for physical education and assemblies.
