Elizabethtown College
Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania
As part of Elizabethtown College’s Centennial Celebration, the college developed a strategic plan to guide the campus into the next 100 years. From that strategic plan, the college initiated efforts to improve the quality of life for existing and future students. That initiative took the form of a master plan.
The architect provided the college with master-planning services for the 165-acre campus. Those services included campus inventory and analysis; regional analysis; campus identity enhancement; campus precincts analysis; improving the campus aesthetically and spatially; community relations enhancement; exploring land-acquisition possibilities; utility opportunities and constraints; and seven phases for carrying out projects.
Currently, the architect is assisting the college in various phases of the master plan, including a new all-weather track and field facilities; the Kevin Scott Boyd Baseball Stadium; a new student center; a new science center; a new academic quad; a new business building; landscape master planning; and Lake Placida enlargement and beautification.
