Early Scholars Academy
Corpus Christi, Texas
The Education Service Center, Region 2, Early Scholar’s Academy just west of Corpus Christi, Texas, and next to London Independent School District, is a one-of-a-kind facility, primarily serving preschool children, ages 4 to 5.
The academy presents 12 high-quality, thematic interactive discovery areas and a technology center. These areas were developed to focus on technology, math, science and early literacy. The discovery areas and an introduction theater range from about 400 to 900 square feet each, including the 715-square-foot technology center. The discovery areas not only create a sense of wonder and fun in science, technology, math and literacy-related topics, but also address cognitive and knowledge dimensions.
The discovery areas’ themes are polar, ocean, tropic/desert, human body, animals, plants, travel, Earth and the elements, space, the American frontier, The Mayan Temple, dinosaurs and a technology center. These scenarios enable the young scholars to explore different times and places in the world from a "look, feel and hear" point of view.
