Through a generous donation by an alumnus, as well as state funding from the Georgia Board of Regents, Dalton State College began the transformation of Gignilliat Memorial Hall. CPL was selected to provide comprehensive renovations to the existing building and an addition for the Wright School of Business.
Completed in fall 2019, the building now provides a home for business classes, which had been scattered throughout the campus. The facility has become a state-of-the-art space specifically designed to meet the instructional and technology needs of a modern business college.
Renovations include HVAC upgrades, updates to finishes, improvements in hallways and offices, a new elevator and energy-efficiency improvements such as new windows.
The existing auditorium, tiered lecture hall and new and existing classrooms will continue to be used by the entire campus as well as a venue for public meetings and special events. As a new multipurpose business hub and technology lab, the addition offers dedicated public and campus entries, each with unique features that respond to the Dalton State College Master Plan.
