Crowder College envisions its newest addition as a community asset for its Webb City campus, not only by being environmentally conscious, but by also providing the community with protection from potentially hazardous storms. The articulated contemporary design seeks to provide easily identifiable entries, linking the community with anchored classrooms supported by a safe room shelter.  The project utilizes materials of organized metal panels, strategically designed window systems, monumental glazed masonry, and concrete to emphasize the contemporary academic architecture, while bringing the project to human scale at entry points with covered canopies and with the use of warmer finishes and textures like that of slightly wood-grained siding.
