The architect has been an active presence throughout the Corning-Painted Post Area School District for more than 10 years. Recent efforts have focused on renovations to four elementary schools: Erwin Valley, Frederick Carder, William Severn and Hugh Gregg.
At Erwin Valley, a five-classroom addition and a secure main lobby were built, and school-wide security was improved. Exterior upgrades focused on the bus loop and parking lot.
Fredrick Carder’s renovations included a 10-classroom addition, a kitchen addition and a cafeteria extension. Additional work was done to the administrative offices and nurse’s suite. Secure entrances were improved throughout the school, and a secure entry vestibule at the main entrance was added. Site work included new parking lots and improved traffic flow.
Hugh Gregg improvements included a six-classroom addition, the creation of a dedicated art and music room, school-wide security enhancements, a renovated main office, technology upgrades, and traffic pattern reconfigurations.
William Severn saw site and traffic pattern improvements as well as renovations to its cafeteria and kitchen. Highlighting the project was a nine-classroom addition and a secure entry vestibule addition at the main entrance.
