The community needed not only a new elementary school, but also additional space for community events. With that objective in mind, the school was designed so that classroom areas could be secured after school hours, allowing public use of the media center, computer labs, and the gym and multipurpose rooms.

The media center/computer lab is the heart of the school. The "Kindergarten Community" is a unique feature because its entrance, classrooms and playground are separated from other grade levels to create an environment conducive to learning, which minimizes distractions.

Architectural interest is focused in the media center, cafeteria and main entrance with the use of skylights, color, geometric patterns and shapes. Metal roof canopies shield all entrances.

The flexibility of design and technologically-advanced communication systems make this facility unique. This is not only an educational institution, but also a place that brings the entire community together.
