The Learning Resource Center is in the Student Commons Building on the new Heartland Community College campus. This facility is designed to integrate the technology available today with the classic and traditional collectives of today and the past. This new concept embraces the computer and multimedia as another tool for exchanging information. The library image is changing, but still has areas where the need for a quiet atmosphere exists. However, an increasingly important need is for interaction with other people and equipment, such as computers and videos.

The power of the screen has become an influential element in homes and will continue to be accepted as a very real and viable means of communication.
