Features of the building include science labs; lab-preparation rooms; classrooms; ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONCOST PER SQ FT$267.00FEATURED IN2000 Educational InteriorsINTERIOR CATEGORYCommon Areas offices; and an art center with kiln and darkroom. The new spaces encourage and support more hands-on activities and research.

Power and data raceways extend computer network accessibility to every work area via laptops. Labs and offices are visually opened to the school with interior windows into the corridors.

Enclosing a vehicle passage under the existing building created space that became a reception area, offices and seminar rooms.

The main entry is a glass link between the science center and a 1960s classroom wing. The link contains a three-story lobby with an open stair; at the lowest level it connects to the bus dropoff, and at mid-level it connects to the automobile dropoff at the ellipse. It also serves as a space for the entire student body to assemble.
