Mechanical platforms are situated above each classroom wing and accommodate 4-pipe VAV mechanical system equipment. In the lofted bridge above, which links the upper-level classroom wings, small learning common areas have been created for use as breakout and study spaces. These areas also are easily supervised by the upper-level assistant principal’s office, which overlooks these areas.
The second floor houses resource rooms as well as third-, fourth- and fifth-grade classrooms. Each teaching space is equipped with a 70-inch flat-panel television for screen sharing, and Wi-Fi is distributed throughout the facility.
