This new two-story middle school accommodates 310 students in grades four through eight. The primary organizing element of the school is a dramatic commons space punctuated by sawtooth monitors.

Grade-level communities are organized into unique neighborhoods that provide differentiated studios to support multiple learning styles. A project-based learning curriculum is supported within each neighborhood by spaces that integrate science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics, and provide immediate access to tools and resources.
Outdoor learning environments include planting areas for environmental education programs as well as a vegetative roof.
Photovoltaic cell and wind turbine demonstration systems serve as teaching tools through an integrated digital dashboard and contribute to the building’s efficiency.
Other spaces include an information center, tutorial resource rooms, music instruction and practice rooms, science labs, foreign language labs, and a gymnasium with locker rooms.
