Floor-to-ceiling curtain wall glazing in the centrally situated library/media center provides abundant natural light and views of the surrounding tree line. Large windows bring nature into the classrooms. In the kindergarten wing, storytelling areas are highlighted with fun window concepts such as circles and stacked block shapes.
The interior design ties in natural elements with a color palette derived from earth tones and water. Throughout the school, colors and leaf patterns in the floor create connections to nature.
The Cafetorium, media center, “Treehouse” and corridors feature benches and soft seating for small groups to enjoy nature while they learn. The Treehouse area on the third floor offers scenic views of the vegetated roof and surrounding site.
