The Marcus 9th Grade Campus is a 900-student secondary facility that serves the Marcus High School community.

Additionally, the campus needed a cafeteria and library, which became the learning hub and the main design feature of the building.
A community engagement process for the design of the campus culminated in a design charrette. A decision was made to attach the new campus to the existing high school to create synergies between the two campuses. Because of the tight site, some of the challenges encountered included the relocation of sports fields to an offsite location, and the need for renovation inside the building to improve the circulation between the two buildings.
