Transformational. It’s a word often used to describe Alter Hall, which is transforming the way business education is taught at Temple. The entrance along Liacouras Walk and a three-story atrium tie Alter to the existing Speakman Hall, providing a flexible space for spontaneous collaboration, conferences and special events. The school emphasized the need to foster small-learning communities, where students would come in contact with faculty, peers, and the business community. Every level provides alcoves, open stairs and other opportunities for convivial interaction. The project won a PRO AV Spotlight Award for the integration of technology with classrooms and common space.
