From the exterior, the building will reveal the activities that take place within through collegiate characteristics and student-centered spaces.

In keeping with basic principles of osteopathic medical practice, the campus will use many sustainable design concepts, including north-south solar orientation for daylighting; bioswales; long-lasting, easily maintainable materials; and a high-performance energy system yielding long-term environmental benefits.

An active/public plaza to the north and quite/private lawn to the south enables the building to engage the landscape.

“Clear plan organization and a handsomely restrained physical vocabulary give this project the potential to be great.”--2012 jury
