The existing classrooms and media center were renovated during the summers. The next construction phase included a kitchen, cafeteria and performance platform, as well as special-needs and counseling-services classrooms. At this same time, a new main building entrance providing enhanced security and an abundance of daylighting was constructed. The final construction phase included renovation of the existing gymnasium, as well as construction of gymnasium support spaces and additional classrooms.

A new vibrant color scheme was introduced throughout the building, personified by the whimsical terrazzo patterns throughout the corridors and cafeteria. Plumbing, mechanical, electrical and technology systems were upgraded throughout the entire building. Exterior improvements included masonry seat walls and landscaping throughout the site.
