Project elements:

-Several courtyards between new and existing spaces introduced natural ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONCAPACITY2,500COST PER SQ FT$101.00FEATURED IN2005 Architectural PortfolioSUB CATEGORYRenovation to many previously dark areas.

-All facilities were “wrapped” in a new brick facade.

-The existing gymnasium was converted into a new library/media center with an adjacent Java City coffee shop.

-A new dining area and food court includes Subway, Pizza Hut, Grillworks and One World.

-A building of this magnitude required two entrances, each with a security vestibule and a student resource officer positioned between them.

-Administration is split into two locations at each entrance, expanding visual control and further enhancing security.

-More than 100 security cameras are placed throughout the building.

-With everything under one roof, students never have to leave the building except for outdoor athletic events.
