The building is designed to unify the student’s mind (academics), body (athletics), and spirit (performing arts). These aspects are brought together in the commons area, which serves as an informal gathering place and dining area.

Most of the existing school was removed to complete the site development. The existing gymnasium was retained and has been converted to an aquatic center. The school also serves the community; the athletic and performing-arts areas allow for community use after school hours.
