It blends contemporary and traditional themes dramatically. Interior landscaping, a waterfall, a pergola-covered walkway, and a curved, 8,000-square-foot skylight and space-frame system accomplish this goal.

Heating this space was especially challenging. The relative humidity of the space must be kept below 70 percent for the computers to work properly. The waterfall made this difficult. Condensation on the skylight and space-frame system also was a concern. These issues and air-circulation problems were overcome through the heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system designed by the architect’s mechanical engineering department.
