The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recognized Fanning Howey with a 2012 ENERGY STAR Partner of the Year – Service and Product Provider Award for its outstanding contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by providing products and services to its clients to increase energy efficiency. Fanning Howey is the nation's first architecture and engineering firm to receive this award.
Fanning Howey’s accomplishments will be recognized at an awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 15, 2012, which marks the 20th anniversary of ENERGY STAR.
Fanning Howey, an ENERGY STAR partner since 2007, is being honored for its work in promoting services and products that meet ENERGY STAR guidelines for energy efficiency. In 2011, eight Fanning Howey-designed buildings received Designed to Earn the ENERGY STAR. The firm also used ENERGY STAR-related tools to complete five building energy audits, ten energy benchmark studies and assist clients with the certification or monitoring of 10 ENERGY STAR-certified buildings.
