Orlando, Fla.– BRPH (www.brph.com) recently was selected by Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) to provide architectural and engineering design services for the Rock Springs Elementary replacement school. The company proposed a compact two-story prototype originally conceived for Conway Elementary School that will be adapted to the Rock Springs site.
Rock Springs will be the third reuse for this two-story elementary prototype in Orange County. The prototype also is under design for the new East Whetherbee Elementary School. When built as Conway Elementary, it was completed for $1 million under budget and provided a new alternative for prototype elementary designs for the district. Because of its attractive, compact and economical design, this prototype also recently was selected for use by Savannah-Chatham Public Schools in Georgia.
