Shared usages between the buildings include the gymnasium, parking areas, athletic fields, and a kitchen that will be used to prepare meals for the elementary school and the middle school.
The new middle-school classroom areas were designed to accommodate 900 students with core facilities able to serve up to 1,200 students. The building’s design includes a structural system that will support a future second-floor addition above the classrooms as anticipated enrollment growth occurs.
Building features include top-quality voice, video and data systems in each classroom throughout the building, and the centrally located Learning Resource Center. Two separate courtyards allow for natural light and ventilation into all classroom areas.
