The renovation of Hugh C. Williams High School was the result of planning and collaboration among the school district staff, administration and the design team. The challenge was to transform the 1950s vintage high school into a modern facility that would serve the school district and community well into the 21st century.

The design incorporates a student multimedia production room, faculty-development room, technology learning center and related offices. The volume of the space provided the opportunity to feature a central skylight with a vaulted ceiling.
The central study court was wrapped in custom wood paneling and millwork. Clear American maple and red oak were chosen for their timeless beauty and durability. These materials also were used in the circulation/control center. The lower ceilings of the curved entrance invite the students into the space.
