The challenge for the design team was to fit the Performing Arts Center into the already complex campus of this large suburban high school. The district wanted a 1,000-seat auditorium, and vocal and instrumental music classrooms.

The exterior presents a curvilinear front with cast-stone columns featuring decorative spheres in an art deco mode. Curved corners and circular/arched walls added to the softness of the spaces.
The auditorium seats 1,005 and includes a 40-foot proscenium, flying-loft stage, spotlight catwalk, computer-controlled theatrical lighting system and 40-channel sound system capable of handling professional tour groups.
